send to Congress a bill to award Charles Ramsey the Congressional Gold Medal for his courageous actions.

Created by R.A. on May 08, 2013

On Monday, May 6th, 2013, Charles Ramsey heard a woman screaming at 2207 Seymour Avenue, Cleveland, OH. Regardless and heedless of any danger, he broke down the door and found Linda Berry screaming.

Due to Mr. Ramsey's actions that afternoon, 3 young women, missing for nearly 10 years, were freed from nearly a decade of cruel captivity, and their captor arrested.

Mr. Ramsey, although being ridiculed on the Internet for his pattern of speech during an adrenaline fueled 911 call, has refused all efforts to reward him for his actions.

This is, by definition, a hero. And Mr. Ramsey should be treated as such and awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his bravery.
