If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, you know that the organization has a 'kill-switch' database that turns your cell phone into a paperweight.
The cell phone essentially becomes useless, and the criminal is unable to profit from deception and theft.

AT&T, T-Mobile, Apple & Samsung and other SIM operated carriers and manufacturers do not utilize such a database, even though this unique ID number is separate from the SIM.

By signing this petition, you are encouraging Congress to employ a third-party database that will prevent any cell phone or other connected device from being stolen because it dis-incentives criminals from stealing & selling the product.
