The situation in Japan at the Fukushima nuclear power plant has become dire. The 1300 fuel rods in reactor #4's pool which could collapse at any time, need to be extracted. A process usually done with the precision of a computer will now need to be performed manually. It is obvious that they need help preventing a catastrophe worse than any in history. The US and every other country with means needs to get involved now. Mr President, I urge you to consider sending help proactively. In this situation waiting for an invitation could prove to be fatal.
