Send humanitarian aid to the people of Venezuela who under economic hardship cannot afford basic food & hygiene staples.

Created by A.Z. on August 03, 2015

In recent years, Venezuela, a South American nation of 33 mil. people, has undergone major social & economic upheavals. The past couple of years have been especially grueling. People are unable to buy basic consumer staples such as milk, rice, flour or meat. Hygienic products, such as toilet paper & soap, are rare at best & due to their scarcity lead to a spread of disease. Hospitals are supersaturated with the ill, yet there is no medicine or equipment to treat them. Child mortality rates has risen. Violence and terror on the streets is at an all time high.

We ask that the US & Venezuelan governments set aside their political differences & cooperate by supplying the people of Venezuela with basic goods necessary for life. We ask for the US to be the initiator in the talks on the matter.
