We, the people, have determined that a positive future for humanity requires human expansion into space. Mars is the next logical step in our space program and a future career for human colonization.
We feel that this is something that should be one of the nation's top priorities. There are challenges to it, but they can and must be solved. If we do not muster the courage and will to go, we face the possibility of stagnation and decay. We have the power, at this time, to effect the future of all of humanity. We believe that it is in our overall best interest to invest in a mission to Mars.
The realization of this new idea would have innumerable benefits to technology, the economy on Earth, and the survivability of humanity.
