In light of the recent highway bridge collapse in Washington and the failing grades of many other bridges and other crucial parts of our infrastructure, we ask the President to make good on his promises to improve infrastructure and create jobs by sending a comprehensive infrastructure improvement bill to Congress for an immediate vote.
The bill should include funds to immediately repair or replace the most critical parts of our crumbling infrastructure and long-term planning for public works projects to maintain and improve our bridges, roads, telecommunications, power, and water systems. This bill would provide jobs, save money by avoiding costly disasters and injuries, and improve our national security.
We demand a well-built nation. We demand infrastructure repair.
