Republican obstruction in the Senate is out of control. Recently, Mitch McConnell filibustered a bill put forward by Elizabeth Warren to provide relief for people struggling with student loan debt. Other proposed bills were also filibustered despite widespread bipartisan support from the American people, including common sense reforms for gun laws. As President of the Senate, Joe Biden has the power to stop this obstruction by declaring that the filibuster is inconsistent with the rules of the Senate.
