Their is no reason the US government can not regain its supremacy in the area of space exploration! Without a marked achievement in space exploration soon, the US public will cease all interest in space. Generations of school children will not have real hero's to look up to. With out this step NOW, the US will be overtaken in the area of space exploration by communist countries, and that should never be allowed!
