Following the murder of two police officers, the NYPD has turned this tragedy in a political game at the public's expense. Summons have decreased by 94% and arrests have decreased by 66%. This is unacceptable because as public servants, the NYPD'S job is "To Protect and Serve." If the NYPD continues to fail to protect the taxpayers that pay their salary, than we the people request that the National Guard be put into place to enforce the laws and public safety of the City of New York until the NYPD is fit enough to resume responsibility.
