The shockingly violent police response in Ferguson, MO to the town's demand for accountability in the shooting death of Michael Brown at the hands of a police officer is making a mockery of the law and of the rights of American citizens. It is the duty of the United States—and of the executive branch specifically—to enforce the Constitution and compel the municipal government of Ferguson to end its assault on American citizens.
