In 2003, the USA invaded Iraq. In 2007, the US military surged in Iraq. In 2008, President Obama promised to end the war in Iraq. For years now, he has taken credit for, supposedly, keeping that promise. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, the White House announced that the President has authorized “up to 450 additional military personnel” to be deployed to the eastern Anbar province of Iraq.
Does President Obama really think that putting more American lives in harm's way is going to help the situation in the Middle East? If ISIS is beaten back, another group of radical terrorists will rise up to replace it, no doubt. We need a new strategy in the Middle East and sending more American soldiers, again, is NOT the answer!
