I came to the US more than 30 years ago for graduate studies, and have since made this country my home. Lately, I wonder if I made a mistake? I wonder if the ideals for which stood for was but a distant memory, or worse yet, was it just a façade. I thought the US was one country that will do the right thing and where the principles of fairness, equal ,, justice were the cornerstones of its existence.
Alas, that US is no more. Now more than ever, it resembles a oligarchy, the kinds of which many escaped from. The #IranDeal, & specifically the opposition to it, very painfully ripped the façade off and what I see is lawmakers selling this country to other nations. It is now the United States of Anyone who is willing to be the highest bidders and that includes other nations. Disillusioning.
