Send the Syrian refugees to Puerto Rico. No congressional approval required.

Created by E.N. on November 19, 2015

Now that the bill to refuse Syrian refugees in the States has gain even the votes of the Democrats in the House, I propose sending the Syrian refugees to Puerto Rico.

The governor of the Island Alejandro Garcia Padilla and the Secretary of the Island David Bernier have expresed their willingness to accept as many refugees as possible.

At least 300,000 Syrian refugees would compensate for at least the people that have left the Island in the last 3 years. By doing this, more services will be required, more jobs will be created, the local government will have more income from income tax and sales tax and those funds will help the local government to pay the investors of municipal bonds, no bailout or chapter 9 required.
