Send unused tanks and military equipment to the Ukrainian army just as the Russians are doing to the Donetsk rebels

U.S. should provide the Ukrainian defense forces with tanks and other military equipment that the U.S. is currently not using. Russia is doing the same thing by giving military aid to the pro-Russian rebels in the Donetsk region but they are not admitting that they are doing so. America should do the exact same thing and deliver military equipment so that the Ukrainian forces are not overwhelmed by more modern Russian equipment that is being brought in to the country illegally on a regular basis. Again this is only for military equipment to the defense forces and not for U.S. troops on the ground or air strikes on strategic targets. This strategy will ensure that Russia will not expand its influence into Eastern Europe and possible even beyond.
