Sensible Government Spending Initiative

Created by G.B. on January 16, 2013

Federal offices are currently required to purchase office supplies and furniture from designated sources at 2, 3+ times the typical retail rate paid by the public. Due to the serious fiscal issues our nation is experiencing, it’s imperative that our federal offices be able to purchase supplies at the lowest price available. All federal offices should have the option to save taxpayer dollars by shopping for the lowest priced supplies available outside sources such as DOD E-Mall, etc.. Enacting this measure could save taxpayers billions of dollars per year and streamline it's purchasing system. The end result would be a less expensive more streamlined government which benefits local communities.
