We need gun control on multiple levels: Ban all assault weapons and large capacity clips. These weapons only purpose is for mass casualties.
Make private gun sales illegal - no trade shows and arms-length fairs that avoid Brady's law and regulation.
Require 2 personal references in addition to background checks to prevent those without a record, but still unstable, from buying guns.
Revoke all concealed weapons laws so it is illegal to hide the fact that you're carrying a gun. Again, this serves no safety purpose, only allows more victims of gun violence.
Understand that the majority of gun owners are safe and responsible, but our current laws make it easy for those that aren't to buy weapons for the sole purpose of stockpiling guns and hurting others.
