Kraigen Grooms, age 19, raped a baby girl and streamed it on the internet. The baby was estimated about 12-18 months old. Police found the video, and released photos of Grooms to the public, asking for identification of the "John Doe". He pleaded guilty this July, but Wapello County Attorney Gary Oldenburger sentenced him to a 10 year suspension. Grooms will not serve any jail time, despite his disgusting act against a defenseless child. Originally, he faced up to 25 years in prison, but was released on the condition that he remained on the sex offenders life for life. While the root of the problem may lie within the corruption of the government or court system, Grooms should still face time in prison as consequence for his terrible crime.
