Chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies must never be allowed to exist in the same packaging without clear separation and labeling of each. In this season of cookie gift-giving, many confusing tins of assorted cookies are causing Americans looking for a chocolaty chippy treat to, instead, bite into an oatmealy and raisiny disappointment. Oatmeal raisin cookies are delicious in their own right and this petition is in no way an attempt to malign their merits. It is merely a call to correctly separate and label the two products. Failure to do so will create undue resentment toward oatmeal raisin, further pushing them down the list of "Favorite Cookies" (far below the, honestly, much more deserving Chocolate Chip).
