Separate Church from State - Religion should be private not political

Religion should be a private choice for politicians, not a platform. Political decisions should be based only on what's best for the country and it's people, not based on religious views or pressure. The government pushing to ban stem cell research, ban forms of birth control, or teach against what is scientifically known all hurt the country and it's citizens. Religion has it's place, just not in politics or public schools
