Separate religion from the United States government.

Created by D.D. on December 18, 2012

Everyone is free to practice their religion, and everyone is free to practice no religion. However, this has been taken to the extreme in many cases, and one has to wonder if the second is even true. It is stated within the constitution that we separate religion from our government, and for too long religion has been a dominant feature within our government. Those who argue this have only to look to our currency, our pledge of allegiance, and the process of swearing in during a trial for evidence. Some states have laws prohibiting atheists from running for office. We must put an end to this at once, else we risk letting down those men and women who championed for the establishment of these United States of America on the basis of freedom and equality. Remove religion from our government.
