The Pledge of Allegiance has been altered a number of times throughout American history. Of these alterations, probably the most controversial of all is “under God." President Dwight Eisenhower passed a law in 1954 to allow "under God" in the Pledge which was in direct violation of the first amendment.
The "under God" statement should be removed and the Pledge should be reverted back to the previous form. Please consider equality of all Americans when writing the Pledge of Allegiance as our founding fathers would have wanted. Adding the statement of, “under God,” or the word, “God,” naturally makes the Pledge of Allegiance a swearing of loyalty to America with religious association. If it doesn't have religious association then the editing of the Pledge of Allegiance should be swift.
