Abolish all National Holidays based on Religious drivers. This is needed to ensure that we are fair and just too ALL Americans regardless of Religion.
Allowing one Religion to have specific holiday vs. other religions marginalizes the separation between church and state. Federal government should not advocate any holiday or permit federal holidays based on Religion.
Private entities such as employers including federal employers should allocate federally protected floating holidays for all Americans which can be taken anytime during the year based on the individuals own religion/creed. This allows us to maintain our specific religious holiday and ensures other religions receive equal treatment.
