My workplace just finished a seminar led by Steven Gaffney, a communication expert, who, according to his website, "transforms organizations by 'getting the unsaid said'". Unlike most similar seminars, this one was actually transformative for nearly my entire organization.
Congress should have a phoneless staffless seminar w/ Mr. Gaffney so that they can realize the misperceptions they have about one another, remember why they are in the positions they are in, and start leading the country by setting the example in creative problem-solving.
(Mr. Gaffney's office is in northern Virginia so his travel costs would be negligible for a seminar in D.C.)
