The Congress has failed to pass a single budget since before 2009. This is creating undo hardship for the citizens of the United States. The constant temporary measures make planning for the future impossible, and are a barrier to job and economic growth. It hurts our global image and encourages worldwide economic instability. Since the Congress is unwilling or unable to quit squabbling and deal with the business of the United States, perhaps locking them inside the Capitol, will enable them to find both the time and incentive to compromise and pass a budget. I urge President Obama to order Federal Marshalls to man the entrances to the Capitol and forbid any congressman or senator to leave the building until a comprehensive budget is passed by both houses.
