Since the President / Commander in Chief is head of the military, that his hours, travel, support staff and various other functions related to the efficient running of the military and DOD as well as the support functions of protection, command and control, use of Government vehicles and aircraft (particularly any operated by the uniformed services) be reduced in accordance with the each branches overall directives (reduction of flight hours/training/maintenance). The Commander in Chief is furloughed for 22 days a year (unpaid), restricted to a 8 hour work day, canceling any and all nonessential travel, conferences, political events and public appearances that require direct or indirect support of any DOD component. That this applies to all administration personnel elected or appointed.
