Mentally challenged people like myself face two real and growing problems in rural America,1 a severe and growing lack of Psychiatrists and competent Therapists due to the lack of money to pay such Professionals. Here in Central Illinois there are very few Psychiatrists and as a result people are going without their medications. 2 Budget constraints are forcing many people being sent to live in nursing homes and many are living hopelessly on the streets especially in Chicago. It is going to get very cold soon and many will die. I implore all to join me in asking Mr. Obama and his Administration to do all they can to help people like myself who need and deserve care and respect. These are the basic human rights of every American citizen, .We need medicine, shelter and above all dignity.
