Key points:
- Security: Byproducts CAN NOT be used to make nuclear weapons. Other countries (China, India) are winning this energy technology race by using American experts. Energy independance is a matter of national security.
- Savings: Throium is so prevalent that $10,000 worth of it can produce the same amount of energy as $60,000,000 worth of Uranium.
- Safety: The LFTR plant runs on liquid fuel and doesn't rely on high pressures, has "passive safety" which means that if power is lost to the plant it WILL NOT melt down. The half life of the waste is much shorter and waste has medical uses.
