The gun laws are NOT stopping the mass violence & career criminals. design a better way to background check. Allow conceal & carry or open carry nationwide. Look at other countries that allow guns & see their crime rates.(lower). Dont punish/infringe on rights of the majority of Americans who are responsible. Gun control DIDNT nor would it have stopped any mass murders in the last 50 yrs.. so let me & fellow citizens have the right to protect ourselves when & where the government & law cannot do so. Mandate gun courses along with FOID cards so that pros & cons alike may feel more comfortable with gun owners. But again it wont stop the mindsets of those on a mission to kill or wound intentionally. Therefore allow us our God given & Second Amendment rights "right of the people to bear arms"
