WE THE PEOPLE petition the government of the United States of America to designate September as "National Service and Remembrance Month" and as such to designate September 11 of each year as "National Service and Remembrance Day" and to make September 11 a legal, public, and Federal holiday.
The atrocities of September 11, 2001 need to be remembered throughout history as the day that the United States of America lost 3,000 lives at the hands of international terrorist. These 3,000 people, along with the lives lost during the 2 wars that continue, the countless volunteers who helped in the aftermath of 9/11, and all the families who have had to suffer (families who lost loved one, and military families) because of these events deserve to be recognized.
