Service Members' and Spouses' Career Portability Act

Mr. President, please advocate to Congress for, and approve when legislated, a Service Members' and Spouses' Career Portability Act. Require mandatory government job placement for spouses who already occupy government jobs when military members receive Permanent Change of Station orders. Last, mandate states honor state-level professional certifications through instant reciprocity (provided certification standards are not more stringent for life, health, and safety codes) in the new location of residence. Until we break down barriers, we will never achieve the goal of socio-economic equality, integrity, and sustainability. Economic recovery needs to be available to all, including those who volunteer to serve.
