I am a 46 year old male with Asperger Syndrome. The meat of what this petition is all about insufficient services for Autistic adults.
It all comes down to money. There is not enough money being allocated specifically for Autistic adult services.
When I am an adult that is asking for adult services, I am told to do it myself. I cannot start Autistic adult services. All I can do is to ask the politicians to listen and get things done. That is exactly what I am doing with this petition.
The specific thing that is missing is group services for Autistic adults. There needs to be peer to peer support. Autistic adults need to find other Autistic adults locally in the very town that they live in.
