The United States congress is rife with Representatives and Senators who have served for decades. The system whereby politicians are allowed to serve for an unending period of time, as long as they re-elected, has done a disservice to our country. The citizens of the United States have been adversely impacted been our elected officials reluctance to act on pressing issues. If congress were held to the term limits, similar to the executive branch of our government, they would feel pressing incentive to act and deal with the issues of the day, instead of sitting ideal for the "right moment."
The request is simple; publicly advocate and push for Congress to enact term limits on their service, to protect the American voting public from "do-nothing" career politicians.
