There needs to be a term set for all political figures. The President of the United States has a four year term, with a chance of one re-election. Yet the House and Senate seem to be exempt from this format. The system was not set up for one to enter a political office, and stay for a lifetime. This is unfair to those who have also chosen politics as a profession This also does not allow for fresh ideas and new views on issues.
