Set an American foreign policy of term limit for African leaders to promote democracy in the African continent.

Created by G.A. on December 23, 2011

American foreign policy has a major impact on the lives of ordinary African people. The people have faced dictatorship & corruption for a very long time, the root cause of poverty. In the face of corruption & long standing dictatorship, that relies on corruption to stay in power, no amount of aid will solve the problem. This is not to say we should not help, but one way to fight against poverty is to build a democratic society. The first step to fight dictatorship is to define it. A policy based definition of dictatorship in world political stage can make a big difference for the people of Africa in their effort to build democracy. Where there is no term limit there is, by definition, dictatorship. President Obama’s administration should push for term limit in each and every African state.
