America has fallen behind the world in education. While there have been many good plans/programs implemented to increase the quality of education there has yet to be an effective measure to motivate the students to perform. To succeed they must 'want' to succeed. By requiring a minimum of a 2.5 GPA in core classes (no electives) for students to be allowed the privilege of earning a learners permit to drive, and then later a drivers license we achieve the following: 1. An overall increase in interest, dilligence, and attentiveness in our schools. 2. Higher grades in Math and Sciences. 3. An increase in the level of responsibility in our newly licensed drivers.
Students failing to achieve the target GPA would be required to wait until they reach legal majority before driving.
