The purpose of this petition is to salvage and save Army Aviation historical items and aircraft for posterity and view by the general public. In addition to saving our fantastic Army Aviation history for public view, I would like to operate it by volunteers of retired Military personnel. This would give them something to do now that they are separate from service. This would also allow aircraft built with our tax dollars to continue to live on and inspire youth to serve their country in our armed forces. If not this are then I ask that the Spirit of St Louis airport be considered as an alternate site. Both sites can contribute to tourism and travel to the greater Midwest region and could someday be a host site for air Shows in the likes of the annual Oshkosh air show.
