set a budget fund for rural volunteer fire departments and rescue units to cover fuel and building needs

Created by A.S. on March 29, 2013

the government should have a budget fund for each and every volunteer fire department in this country. Currently most of the volunteer fire departments have to buy their own fuel and pay for maintenance on their trucks. A lot of them do this with no budget but with the money out of the fireman pocket. money they don't even have to feed their own families. the grant programs are a joke and don't really help. These fire departments train and work hard just like the career do. Most of your fire calls are responded to by volunteers outside the major cities. and in the event of a major alarm volunteers are there to back up the careers too.
