Set up a commission to estimate the amount of wealth transferred from the American People by the inflation tax

Created by M.M. on January 12, 2013

The President should set up a commission to estimate the amount of wealth transferred from the American People by the Federal Reserve inflation tax. The commission should also determine where that wealth went and what the taxpayers recieve in return.

As a starting point, there were about 16 billion M2 dollars in circulation when the Federal Reserve was started in 1913, and now there are 10.3 trillion M2 dollars. That would put the amount of wealth transfer at 10.3 trillion in todays dollars.

What you could buy for a dollar in 1800 just cost 58 cents in 1913. Taking that into account would probably double the size of the wealth transfer to around 20 trillion.

The people deserve an honest accounting.
