Set Congress members' salary to 500% of the Federal Minimum Wage.

Created by T.H. on January 27, 2013

A recent study found that there was no measurable increase in day-to-day happiness as salary reached $75,000/year. Meanwhile, Congress regularly votes itself salary increase far in excess of that amount while public approval falls to new lows. The current Federal Minimum Wage is $7.25/hour, and five times that would provide a yearly salary of $75,400 which seems more than adequate for Senators and House Representatives given their job performance, while the bulk of the country struggles to make ends meet.
