Set Congressional Pay

Created by J.H. on December 31, 2012

We ask the President of the United States to set the pay for Congress to one which includes the following formula.
The pay of an elected member of Congress shall not exceed the median payroll level of all Government Employees. This median number should include all employees funded by Federal, State, and Local monies.
Benefits to Congress shall not exceed those of any public employee and shall end at the end of their term in office. No lifetime benefit shall be forwarded unless it is granted to any other government employee at any level.
Congressional members should also be subjected to the same tax rates as those in their districts who elected them. This bill should be written to remind Congress that they were elected to serve their constituents and to further the US of A.
