Getting a person's name/address off mailing lists is almost impossible. We really need a central location to place that information and ensure that we do not receive junk/solicitation mail. Businesses who mail solicitations should be required to use the opt-out database.
Junk mail is a waste of resources (human/water/paper/postal) and it mostly goes into the landfills, adding to the amount of waste created.
It would also be helpful if businesses were required to have an opt-out link on the website to allow people to enter addresses and have mail stopped from that company.
There is an opt-out website already but not all companies use that database and it does not stop junk mail from all companies.
