Oil companies are making record profits of billions of dollars while the American economy struggles to get back on its feet. A federal cap on gas prices will put money back into the pockets of working Americans that will help stimulate the economy. This cap will not in any way do harm to the oil companies but will greatly improve the American economy and way of life for so many people struggling with day to day expenses.
