Minimum wage is not a livable wage and keeps families in poverty. Creating a minimum "livable" wage for adults age 18 and older would help raise families out of poverty as well as stimulate the economy. Minor children do not need a livable wage as they are dependents of their parents or other adults, however, the current minimum wage should be left in place for them.
