set a federal minimum living wage for people over 18 years of age while keeping the current minimum wage for minors.

Created by K.H. on November 28, 2012

Minimum wage is not a livable wage and keeps families in poverty. Creating a minimum "livable" wage for adults age 18 and older would help raise families out of poverty as well as stimulate the economy. Minor children do not need a livable wage as they are dependents of their parents or other adults, however, the current minimum wage should be left in place for them.
