The section of the United States Federal Budget known as Discretionary Domestic Spending is by far the most useful and productive spending the government does. Current plans forecast a drop in this spending to 1.9 % of GDP.
This will threaten our long term economic progress by hampering our infrastructure, education, and research.
We ask the Obama administration to propose long -term spending increases in these areas by rebuilding our schools and infrastructure, investing more in our education system, and use tax credits to encourage the private sector to invest in research and development, which will result in increased economic growth and long-term stability.
