An easy to remember 800 number, answered by trained individuals who understand the situation, and trained law enforcement can then investigate and intervene. Thus, preventing a potentially bad situation. This number would be more widely used than 911 which is also recommended, because it would be confidential, and make the caller more at ease.The system would thwart attacks of all kinds,and prevent homicides without of course violating the civil liberties of a possible offender.The system would be available for calls of threats,intimidations,stalking,and previous viloent activities to a person or group of people.
