We need to limit the cost of medication. There are so many life saving medications that almost everybody can't afford. There are medications that cost over a thousand dollars a dose. I understand that the companies need to make back their research money but a lot of their research money is from the government so shouldn't we benefit from our money and not have them try to take more?
Sure if you have health insurance you don't have to worry as much but if the medications weren't as expensive then health insurance could be cheaper and you wouldn't need preauth for as many medications. That means doctors could prescribe what they think would work best, not what's cheapest.
