Right now we are one of the few developed nations that have not adopted an official language. This not only fails to create a national standard that should be in place, but divides our community into segments. I call for the Obama administration to put it up to a vote and let us decide through the democratic process what we, as a nation, want our official language to be. I believe that having an official national language will bring our polarized communities closer together.
