Congress and the Senate have failed the American public by allowing us to go over the Fiscal cliff. Those representing us have forgotten how hard it is to make ends meet when you are middle or even upper lower class.
Congress and the Senate need to feel the crunch so they can better represent us. It should be up to us- the American voters- as the whether or not they deserve a pay raise.
You, as a representativie of your state, should not receive a HUGE paycheck when you can't do your job.
