Congress members currently are not subject to any term limit. Consequentially, the same members will serve for decades. This not only prevents new ideas from entering congress, it also forces congress members to disproportionately consider reelection when making decisions. Term limits would allow congress members to focus on what is best for our country, not just popularity.
